Responsibilities

Design structural solutions for industrial, commercial, and educational projects, with a primary focus on industrial sectors
Collaborate with experienced engineers, technicians, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs for our long-standing industrial clients both locally and nationally
Provide support in design and drawing production within the structural discipline
Perform shop drawing reviews, field data collection, and field data entry
Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Work under the guidance and mentorship of licensed structural engineers
Participate in site visits, which may require driving, climbing ladders, working on elevated platforms, and wearing PPE specific to client sites
Travel occasionally, including some overnight stays, as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
Completion of coursework in steel and concrete is essential; experience with wood and masonry is a plus
Eligibility to sit for the Iowa PE exam after gaining the required experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively within teams
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present design solutions confidently
Ability to pass drug and background screenings required for work at most industrial sites

Preferred

Master's in Structural Engineering is preferred but not required
Experience with Revit, 3D software (Navisworks/Recap), structural engineering design software, and Microsoft Office is preferred
Self-motivated and eager to learn new things and adapt to changing markets and software updates
