Responsibilities

Lead supplier assessments, evaluations, and audits to ensure on-time delivery and outgoing quality

Drive supplier qualification and maintain a robust, ethical, and sustainable supplier base

Partner with cross-functional teams to execute part and process qualifications

Address supply disruptions and manage claims when supplier root causes are identified

Resolve supplier quality issues and lead improvement initiatives through direct engagement

Monitor and report on supplier performance, KPIs, and quality trends

Lead or support supplier performance evaluations and share transparent feedback

Contribute to strategic quality initiatives and support special projects

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or a related field

Minimum 5 years' experience in supplier quality, procurement, manufacturing, or quality engineering

Strong knowledge of quality systems/tools (ISO standards, PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, etc.) and SAP/4HANA (Module QM)

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Experience with 8D methodology, improvement projects, and lean/6S/statistical process control

Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
