Senior Financial Analyst
Synergy Search is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial insights and strategic analysis to support decision-making processes across the organization. The role involves analyzing financial data, developing financial models, and collaborating with various departments to optimize financial performance.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed financial analysis, including monthly and quarterly financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, business planning, and capital investment decisions
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate and realistic financial projections
Analyze budget variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for strategic projects, including new service lines, mergers and acquisitions, and capital investments
Support the development of long-term financial plans and scenarios to guide the company’s growth strategy
Analyze key operational metrics to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Monitor financial performance of various business units and suggest measures to optimize resource allocation
Identify and assess financial risks related to market dynamics, regulatory changes, and operational factors
Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Stay current with industry trends, financial best practices, and regulatory changes in the healthcare sector
Implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare industry
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle)
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of healthcare financial operations, reimbursement systems, and regulatory requirements
Experience supporting M&A transactions or other strategic initiatives in the healthcare sector
