QA/Systems Automation Intern

InternArmstrong Transport Group (ATG) is looking for a QA/Systems Automation Intern to work with their QA department to ensure high software quality and reliability. The intern will assist in writing automated test scripts, support manual testing, document results, and collaborate with engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Assist in writing and maintaining basic automated test scripts under the guidance of senior QA engineers
Support the QA team with manual test execution for new features and regression testing
Help document test results, track defects, and communicate findings clearly to the team
Learn and apply QA methodologies, processes, and tools in a real-world agile development environment
Participate in daily standups and sprint ceremonies to gain exposure to the software development lifecycle
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand requirements and help ensure product quality
Contribute to maintaining test data and setting up test environments with support from DevOps and infrastructure teams
Assist with monitoring automated test runs in the CI/CD pipeline and reporting results
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Basic knowledge of automated software testing concepts
Interest in learning methodologies, automation tools, and agile practices
Strong communication skills and eagerness to work in a team environment
Attention to detail and curiosity for problem-solving
Preferred
Familiarity with programming or scripting (Python, TypeScript, or similar) is a plus, but not required
Exposure to tools like JIRA or GitHub is a plus, but training will be provided
