Responsibilities
Define and lead the API and Data strategy for IMT’s Servicing segment, aligning with business goals and industry trends
Drive modernization of legacy systems, enabling scalable and cloud-native solutions
Establish and enforce API design guidelines, domain and data modeling standards, and governance frameworks
Build and maintain a sustainable API framework, integrating legacy services and introducing new APIs
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including architects, product managers, and agile delivery teams
Collaborate with product, engineering, infrastructure, and client-facing teams to deliver high-quality API and data products and solutions
Drive developer experience with Developer Portal
Stay ahead of emerging technologies (e.g., Agentic AI, microservices, service mesh, cloud-native, and event-driven architectures) and translate them into actionable strategies
Partner with enterprise platform teams to ensure seamless integration and DevOps enablement
Influence architectural decisions and participate in enterprise-wide technical committees
Promote API and data productization and monetization strategies across channels
Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on API and data technologies
Travel up to 15% as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
8+ years in IT, with a strong background in software development and architecture
3+ years in leadership roles such as Software Architect, Product Manager, or Development Manager focused on API and data platforms
Proven experience in Financial Services, Mortgage Servicing, or FinTech is highly desirable
Deep expertise in API Management platforms (e.g., Apigee), RESTful API design, and microservices architecture
Strong understanding of API security standards (OAuth, OpenID Connect), asynchronous messaging, and cloud-native technologies
Deep experience with Java/SpringBoot, .NET, AWS services, and integration technologies
High level understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Large Language Models, and Agentic AI frameworks
Familiarity with API and data governance tools
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and service mesh architectures
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to influence across matrixed organizations and lead cross-functional teams
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Passion for mentoring and developing talent
