Performs special diagnostic and interventional procedures in Cardiac and Radiology areas, including interventional angiographic procedures, interventional diagnostic procedures, and cardiac catheterization procedures

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all equipment components, including patient monitoring devices

Maintains emergency equipment and procedure trays within the assigned CVIR department

Maintains adequate stock levels of required supplies

Qualification

Radiologic TechnologyCardiovascular TechnologyARRT registryBCLS CPR certificationCardiology experienceRadiology experienceContinuing educationEmergency equipment maintenance

Required

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology Program

Provides evidence of continuing education as required to maintain licensure and/or certification

Current ARRT registry, Maryland licensure as Radiologic Tech or RCIS or RCES certification

BCLS CPR certification

Preferred

Vascular Interventional Radiography or Cardiac Interventional Radiography certification

One year Cardiology or Radiology experience
