The Director of Operations and Innovation will lead strategic operations, drive digital transformation, and oversee project delivery, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.

Responsibilities
Maintain full operational oversight of all projects, supporting design teams and navigating municipal development processes
Ensure accurate budgeting and scheduling using project management software
Monitor staff performance and billable goals via Factor or other internal systems
Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and contractors during design and construction phases
Prepare engineering estimates, develop project scopes, and draft proposals for new business
Oversee timely and accurate invoicing and maintain strong client relationships
Lead and inspire project teams while building lasting client partnerships
Navigate complex regulatory environments with professionalism and strategic problem-solving
Manage $.4MM - $.5MM in direct invoiced work, ensuring timely delivery and budget alignment
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure excellence in every submission
Mentor and develop engineering and operations staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Delegate effectively using project management tools and ensure team alignment with company goals
Champion innovation and process improvement across all aspects of project delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
10+ years of civil engineering experience
At least 7 years in project management
Deep expertise in Civil 3D or similar project delivery platforms
Proven leadership in infrastructure projects including paving, water, sewer, grading, and drainage
Strong ability to interpret and integrate consultant drawings and reports into construction documents
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and excellence
