The Solid Waste Inspector will conduct inspections and assist clients with reporting and permit applications related to solid waste facilities throughout Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Conduct Massachusetts solid waste facility inspections and reporting

Assist clients with MassDEP annual reporting

Assist clients with Quarterly MPS reporting

Effectively communicate with clients and regulatory agencies

Assist with preparation of various technical project reports and permit applications, including Operations and Maintenance Plans, Waste Ban Compliance Plans, Closure Plans, MassDEP permit modification and Site Suitability applications, MEPA filings (ENF, EIR, NPC), License Applications, etc

Self-manage inspection and reporting schedule and meet regulatory reporting deadlines

Required

BA/BS required in Environmental, Engineering, Geology, or similar scientific field

Current MassDEP Third-party Inspector

At least 3+ years of experience with solid waste inspections and reporting and operations, design, and/or permitting

Effective time-management skills and self-directed

Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred

Asbestos Inspector licensure a plus
