International Motors, LLC is pioneering a cleaner, more sustainable future in the transportation industry. They are seeking an Engineering Intern to work on innovative vehicle designs, collaborate with senior engineers, and gain hands-on experience with CAD and embedded control systems.

Responsibilities

Use CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings
Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure designs meet safety and performance standards
Assist in developing embedded software for vehicle control systems, communication protocols, and human-machine interfaces
Participate in selecting appropriate electrical components, sensors, and actuators based on design requirements and industry standards
Develop embedded control systems and software for vehicle subsystems, ensuring proper functionality and integration
Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design and develop electrical systems, components, and software applications for our vehicles
Participate in the fabrication, testing, and evaluation of prototypes to refine designs
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and design reviews to solve engineering challenges
Contribute to integrating sensor data, communication networks, and control algorithms to enhance vehicle functionality
Keep up with emerging technologies, trends, and regulations in electrical engineering and transportation

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)

At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)
Previous applicable internships
Self-starter
High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)
Preference for the following degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerodynamics Engineering, Physics
