Responsibilities

Lead geotechnical tasks and lead the delivery on a wide variety of projects
Mentoring less experienced staff with the potential to be a staff manager
Leading projects in the development and implementation of geotechnical data collection programs
Geotechnical analyses
Preparation of reports
Development of contract documents
Providing support during project construction
Follow projects from concept development through the construction phase
Interact with our existing and perspective clients
Provide support to business development efforts
Assist the regional business group and geotechnical leadership in advancing the technical capabilities of the regional office and global geotechnical group

Required

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and M.S/Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering
5- 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience with a focus on water and transportation market or related infrastructure projects
PE license
Exploration methods, geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring, and laboratory testing for soil and rock
Experience with design, construction, and inspection of water and transportation market projects
Design of typical geotechnical structures, such as shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, embankment and cut slopes, and ground improvement
An understanding of earthquake hazard evaluations, including liquefaction assessments, site-specific ground response analyses, and development of design spectra
Preparation of technical reports
Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses, such as SETTLE3D, LPILE, SLIDE or SLOPE/W, MATHCAD, FB-Multipier, PLAXIS, and FLAC
Preparation of design drawings and specifications
