Responsibilities
Oversee commissioning projects from design through completion in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines
Manage and coordinate all aspects of commissioning activities, including system startup, inspections, acceptance testing, and documentation
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements
Develop and manage Commissioning Plans, Specifications, and detailed test procedures (L1–L5)
Lead commissioning meetings, performance testing, and development of SOPs/MOPs
Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including Systems Manuals
Manage budgets, schedules, and project financials
Act as primary client contact, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring project delivery
Utilize QA/QC and commissioning software such as BIM360, CxAlloy, or Facility Grid
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years of relevant engineering or field-testing experience, including 5 years in data center commissioning or QA/QC
Strong knowledge of systems such as UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, and BMS/EPMS
Proficient in MS Project, Word, and Excel
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders
Willingness to travel up to 50% across the U.S. and Canada
Preferred
Commissioning Professional certification preferred
PE or PMP designation is an asset
Prior experience in a consultancy or owner's representative organization
Proven ability to integrate schedule and performance data for reporting and analysis
