Responsibilities
Analyze the financial and non-financial data of new and existing customers across a range of sectors to build a clear understanding of their business model, growth trajectory and funding needs
Identify and assess the risks involved in funding a variety of business types
Support and help coordinate regular calls with customers to deepen our understanding of their operations, financial performance and future plans
Work closely with management to design and implement new processes, tools and frameworks that enable us to lend effectively across different industries
Collaborate with our sales and operations teams to understand how customers are acquired and onboarded, and how we build long-term funding relationships
Learn about our loan portfolio and risk management approach, including how we monitor performance, detect early warning signals and exit high-risk positions
Work cross-functionally with product, data, engineering and commercial teams on high-impact projects that shape how we underwrite, fund and support businesses globally
Qualification
Required
3+ years of relevant work experience, ideally in one (or more) of the following: an investment or lending role at a bank, fund or fintech
The broader your experience with SME or SMB lending in the US, the better
Ability to analyze and interpret financial reporting presented by companies (e.g. management accounts, financial models, statutory accounts)
Comfort leading regular internal and external (client-facing) meetings and presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Preferred
CPA/ACCA/CFA/CIMA qualification
Knowledge of SQL
