Responsibilities

Independently conducts export control and research security reviews of research proposals, agreements, and international activities
Evaluates and manages Technology Control Plans (TCPs) and associated compliance documentation
Monitors and reviews foreign engagements, travel, and shipment requests for security risk
Performs restricted party screening and interpret potential matches
Consults with researchers to ensure compliance and recommend risk mitigation strategies
Provides training to faculty, staff, and students on export control and research security
Collaborates with other compliance offices, Sponsored Program, Conflict of Interest, Information Resources, Information Security, legal, and department administrators
Assists in audits, reporting, and regulatory tracking
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree
2 years - 5 years of experience in research compliance, export control, or national security
Knowledge of U.S. export control regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC)

Preferred

Master's Degree
Export Control Certification in EAR/ITAR preferred. Upon Hire
