Part-Time Student Office & Technology Assistant
Penn State University is seeking a part-time student office assistant in the Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Responsibilities
Monitor office printers for functionality and supply levels (toner, paper, etc.)
Troubleshoot common printer issues (e.g., paper jams, connectivity problems)
Coordinate with IT or service vendors for repairs or advanced troubleshooting
Set up projectors, screens, microphones, and other AV equipment for meetings and presentations
Arrange and organize seating or materials as needed for events
Assist with take down, equipment storage, and room reset after events
Greet visitors and provide basic information or assistance
Assist with filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
Maintain organized and clean common areas (conference rooms, supply areas, etc.)
Run errands on campus (e.g., mail delivery, supply pickup)
Support staff with special projects or tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to anticipate and address problems proactively
Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
Basic knowledge of office equipment (printers, copiers, AV equipment)
Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 25 lbs.) as needed
