Responsibilities
Lead a cross-functional engineering team focused on AI agent development, from conceptual design to production deployment
Design and implement AI agent architectures leveraging state-of-the-art language models and associated technologies
Collaborate with research scientists on scalable experiments and productize research innovations
Drive the development of agent capabilities including dialogue management, decision making, and autonomy
Ensure AI safety and alignment principles are integrated throughout the agent lifecycle
Mentor and grow technical staff, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation
Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance AI agent capabilities
Partner with product and policy teams to align AI agent features with user needs and ethical standards
Qualification
Required
Proven experience leading technical teams in AI or machine learning engineering, preferably building AI agents or assistants
Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern ML frameworks (e.g., JAX, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Deep understanding of language models, reinforcement learning, and AI safety/alignment concepts
Experience with scalable system design and cloud infrastructure
Passion for AI safety, interpretability, and user-centered AI development
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Preferred
Prior experience working with large language models or conversational AI
Background in research and development of AI alignment or safety techniques
Experience with developer tools and APIs for AI integration
