Director/ExecutiveOklahoma State University (OSU) is seeking a Senior Associate Vice President for Research to support its leadership team. The role involves managing various research initiatives, liaising with faculty and administrators, and ensuring compliance and integrity within the research division.

Responsibilities
Serve as the senior member of the VPR leadership team
Fill in for the VPR when needed
Work with the VPR and the VPR leadership team to identify portfolio components
Create demonstrable positive impact on the OSU research enterprise
Broaden the leadership purview
Manage institutional-level research strategy and policy
Plan mid-/long-term initiatives
Develop new policies and update/revise existing ones
Liaise with Associate Deans for Research
Manage internal grants and startup packages
Support undergraduate research
Manage VPR-level programs
Coordinate OSU decentralized sponsored programs infrastructure
Manage contracts and agreements
Oversee publications and outreach events
Liaise with federal delegation/staff and manage lobbyist relationships
Facilitate technology commercialization and acceleration
Manage research park
Oversee research cyberinfrastructure
Serve as Research Integrity Officer and manage misconduct allegations
Ensure compliance across a spectrum of domains
Manage federally-compliant research security programs
Oversee controlled unclassified information and export controls
Qualification
Required
An earned doctoral degree
Academic credentials and previous experience that merit a tenured appointment in an academic unit within the University
Professional and administrative experience in Research in a complex organizational environment
Demonstrated record of administrative leadership, personnel management, effective communication, and informed decision-making
Demonstrated record of inspiring and facilitating others to engage in a collaborative environment to innovate, create, and advance the research mission
Demonstrated record of working effectively with faculty and administrators to create collegial relationships that promote research
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with people in a wide variety of interests and disciplines to foster high productivity in research, scholarly and creative activities
