Internship - Learning & Development (Videography) - Spring 2026
Firefly Aerospace is a space and defense technology company that enables our world to launch, land, and operate in space – anywhere, anytime. As the Videographer Intern, you’ll collaborate with various teams to capture, edit, and produce video-based learning assets optimized for on-demand use.

Responsibilities
Assist in planning video shoots for training, demonstrations, job aids, and process walkthroughs
Work with SMEs / engineers / operators to understand what should be captured (critical actions, context, environment)
Create shot lists, storyboards, and simple scripts / cue sheets
Capture video & audio in a variety of settings (production floor, labs, offices, simulators)
Use professional or semi-professional equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, microphones)
Capture B-roll, close-ups, action sequences, interviews, process flow, tool usage, hands-on work
Troubleshoot lighting, audio, framing, and environmental challenges
Post-production / editing
Assemble raw footage into polished video modules (short, medium, or long form)?
Incorporate motion graphics, captions/subtitles, transitions, lower thirds, annotation overlays, callouts
Optimize final video assets for streaming / learning platform constraints (file size, format, resolution, bitrates)
Media asset management
Stay current with video & learning trends
Experiment with new filming and editing techniques, formats (e.g. vertical video, 360 video, interactive video), and tools
Recommend improvements to the video pipeline, workflow, and standards
Qualification
Required
Strong visual storytelling instincts
Technical competence with camera, lighting, audio
Solid editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
Comfort in technical / industrial / engineering environments (bonus)
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
