Intermediate Software/Cloud Architect
PingWind is focused on delivering outstanding services to the federal government, specializing in cyber security, development, IT infrastructure, and system design. They are seeking an Intermediate Software/Cloud Architect to support the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions and contribute to software architecture decisions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and efficient.

Responsibilities
Assist in designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures that meet business and technical requirements
Contribute to system architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and reference models
Support microservices, API-driven design, and integration across applications and platforms
Help deploy, configure, and manage services across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Support cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives
Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
Work closely with developers, DevOps, and security engineers to ensure architectural alignment
Participate in Agile/DevSecOps teams to deliver software in secure and scalable environments
Provide technical input during sprint planning, design sessions, and code reviews
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
Familiarity with cloud-native services (serverless, storage, networking, databases)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Basic understanding of cloud security concepts, IAM, and compliance requirements
Qualification
Required
Top Secret clearance
DoD 8140 certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5-7 years of experience in software development, systems design, or IT architecture
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and large-scale cloud deployments
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
Familiarity with cloud-native services (serverless, storage, networking, databases)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Basic understanding of cloud security concepts, IAM, and compliance requirements
