Instructor of the Practice or Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity
Utah Tech University is a fast-growing public institution located in St. George, Utah, and is inviting applications for a full-time professional-track Instructor of the Practice or Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity. The role involves teaching cybersecurity courses, contributing to program development, and performing various campus duties to enhance the educational experience.

Responsibilities
Teach 30 credits of lecture and laboratory courses in cybersecurity each academic year
Contribute to the ongoing development of programs and projects in Cybersecurity and related areas
Perform defined campus-wide duties including holding office hours, attending department, college, and division faculty meetings, and adhering to University policy and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity (or a related field) will be considered for the Instructor of the Practice
Master's degree in Cybersecurity or closely related field by Spring 2026 preferred
A terminal degree is required to be considered for the Assistant Professor
Strong knowledge of SCADA and ICS security
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collegiality and teamwork
An interest in active learning, experiential learning, and student engagement
Preferred
Industry experience strongly preferred
Interest in Industrial Control Systems security preferred
Prior teaching experience is a plus
