Responsibilities
Lead a team of Engineers and collaborate with Product teams to:
Reshape and grow our platform capabilities to enable product teams
Define and deliver industry leading, open-source, zero-touch APM instrumentation
Set a high standard for quality and invest in the tooling and process to maintain it
Own outcomes, from the quality of implementation to the quality of the user experience
Keep up to date with the cutting edge of observability instrumentation in industry to ensure Datadog remains a leader in the category
Qualification
Required
An experienced Engineering Manager with a track record of shipping
A strong and empathetic leader with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams to deliver high quality software
An ability pivot from high level product narratives to highly technical implementation details
You have significant programming experience in one or more of: Java, Go, Ruby
Preferred
systems programming experience
observability tooling experience
experience shipping client side software
JVM, Go or Ruby runtime expertise
