Responsibilities
Assist in evaluating risks associated with life science companies, including laboratories, pharmaceutical firms, and medical device manufacturers
Aid in the preparation of underwriting documentation and reports. Review and analyze risk information to support underwriting decisions
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to policies, claims, and industry trends to assist in underwriting processes
Support the team in communicating with clients and brokers to gather necessary information and address queries
Ensure that all underwriting practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
Participate in training programs to build expertise in life science property and casualty underwriting. Much of this training is held in Westbrook, Maine
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree acquired by June 2026 or prior
Knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Professional products in addition to Internet search capabilities
