Strategy and Operations Manager
Bright Machines is a next-generation, AI-enabled manufacturer focused on transforming the industry through intelligent automation and data-driven solutions. The Strategy & Operations Manager will work closely with the Executive team to drive strategic initiatives, manage investor relations, and oversee strategic marketing efforts, influencing the company's narrative both internally and externally.

Responsibilities
Own Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects - Partner with the leadership team, launch, and drive cross-functional strategic programs (New business initiatives, operational transformation)
Investor Relations & External Communications - Assist in preparing board/investor decks, quarterly updates, fundraising materials, and strategic messaging
Partnerships & Corporate Development Support - Help evaluate and manage strategic partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, or ecosystem collaborations
Strategic Marketing, Brand & Go-To-Market Oversight - Lead the strategic marketing function, set strategy for brand, website, content, thought leadership, events/conferences
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence - Work across Product, Engineering, Sales, HR, finance and Operations to align strategy with execution and break down silos
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in a strategic / operational / business planning role, ideally in high-growth technology, SW, robotics, automation, or top tier consulting firms
Proven track record leading strategic cross-functional programs or initiatives from ideation to execution
Experience with investor relations, board and executive level communication, and high-stakes storytelling
Strategic marketing acumen, you've built or managed content strategy, website strategy, events
Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, you can think at both big-picture and detail levels, with comfort in building models, business cases, and frameworks
Highly cross-functional: you can engage peers in product, engineering, operations, sales, etc., and drive consensus and progress
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, you can craft crisp narratives and compelling decks
Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Bachelor's degree (preferably in business, engineering, or related field); MBA or similar advanced degree from a top school a must
Preferred
Prior experience in robotics, manufacturing, automation, or industrial tech
Experience scaling a strategic marketing function in a tech or deep tech company
Experience working with executive teams and advising C-level leadership
