They are seeking a highly motivated Traffic Section Head to lead and grow the traffic section in Eastern PA, manage traffic-related projects, and engage in business development activities.

Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

Develop a strategic growth plan

Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development

Lead and contribute to the production of proposals

Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff

Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams

Monitors schedules, budgets, accounts receivable and manpower requirements and prepares invoices

Develop Project Management plans for assigned projects

Establish project pricing and budgets

Create and maintain project schedules

Develop and maintain project specific quality plans

Develop and coordinate project scope

Manage subconsultants

Participate in client presentations

Oversee and manage assigned staff working on project

Manage all technical resources on the project team

Development of extra work order requests and open-end contract task proposals

Required

Candidates must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team oriented environment

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must

Applicant must have a general understanding of design and plan preparation using MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and various applicable traffic engineering software packages, and be proficient in MS Office and ProjectWise

Job requires minimum 10 years of experience in traffic engineering design, planning and analysis

BSCE from ABET accredited engineering program

Pennsylvania Registered Professional Engineer

Familiarity with the policies, publications, and practices of PennDOT and the PA Turnpike Commission

Experience with PennDOT Central Office and the PA Turnpike Commission as well as experience working with PennDOT District offices across the state
