Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics
The University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking an Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics to join their Department of Mathematics. This full-time, non-tenure track position focuses on undergraduate teaching and offers opportunities for curriculum development and student success initiatives.
Education
Responsibilities
The teaching load is four undergraduate courses (12 credit hours) or the equivalent per semester, including both service and advanced-level courses
Responsibilities also include contributions to curriculum development, student mentoring, supervision of undergraduate research, and service to the department and university
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related discipline, to be completed by August 2026
Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching
Teaching experience in Mathematical Finance or emerging applied mathematics areas such as Topological Data Analysis
