Intern - Government Affairs
Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. The company is seeking an intern to support their Government Affairs, Political Action, and Project Development teams, providing hands-on experience in policy research, legislative monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
Assist with monitoring legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the energy industry
Support the team with research, analysis, and preparation of briefing materials
Help coordinate activities related to political action initiatives and project development
Participate in meetings and strategy sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders
Contribute to special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027
Students pursuing studies in Government, Political Science, Pre-Law, or Law
Strong communication and writing skills
Interest in public policy, government relations, and the energy sector
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills and proficiency in Excel
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with occasionally tight deadlines
Preferred
Experience in/knowledge of the energy industry
