CME Associates is currently recruiting for an Associate Municipal Engineer to join their team of professionals in the Municipal Engineering Department. The role involves developing civil engineering designs, preparing and submitting permit applications, collaborating with project managers, creating technical reports, and providing field support.

Responsibilities

Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs
Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, verify design implementation, and resolve on-site issues as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
2–5 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in land development or municipal projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; knowledge of stormwater management software is a plus
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
