Responsibilities

Manage network performance and proactively maintain security protocols
Configure, install, and maintain Layer 2/3 switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, encryption devices, and telecommunication systems
Troubleshoot complex network issues across a variety of devices and configurations
Implement and enforce information security procedures in compliance with organizational policies
Configure routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP, and manage both IPv4/IPv6 based networks
Set up and manage IPSec tunnels, 802.1x, and 802.11 LAN/MAN environments
Define and enforce network policies, procedures, and performance standards
Train users in network operations and best practices

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
Ten (10+) years of relevant experience or a BA/BS Degree with two (2+) years of experience in an IT enterprise network engineering role
IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certified
Proven leadership in managing complex network environments, including DoD networks
Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), security standards (802.1X, 802.11, MAC bridging), and media access control systems
Demonstrated experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design
In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices
Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime

Preferred

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform
Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls
Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
