Postdoctoral Research Associate - Condensed Matter Theory/ Computational Materials Science
Tulane University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the area of Condensed Matter Theory/Computational Materials Science. The role involves conducting research in computational simulations and development using advanced many-body approximations and requires strong programming skills.
Higher Education
Qualification
Required
Expertise in development and computational simulations using time dependent DFT
Simulations using many-body approximations such as GW or BSE (and probably both) on bulk and layered materials
Background of excitons, exciton dynamics, and electron-phonon physics
Strong background in programming in Python or Fortran
Strong publication records in journals such as Phys. Rev Lett., Phys. Rev. B, Nano Lett., or journals with similar impact factors
PhD degree in Physics or at least in Materials Science
Substantial experience and publication record in the field of Condensed Matter Physics/Materials Science and journals if PhD is in Theoretical Chemistry
No Engineering PhD degree other than Materials Science is accepted
Preferred
Junior applicants are preferred
