Responsibilities
Provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
Monitors, recognizes and reports cardiac arrhythmias to the Registered Nurse caring for the patient
Prepares and maintains telemetry records
Maintains a functioning telemetry system
Performs various other duties related to patient cardiac monitoring and equipment maintenance, both in the central monitoring station and on the patient care units
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of ECG/Telemetry required
Must be able to interpret dysrhythmias
Computer proficiency required
Excellent customer service experience required
Preferred
ECG certification preferred
Previous Monitor Tech experience in a hospital preferred
