Knownwell is hiring a Lead Platform Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of their AI-native SaaS platform. This role involves applying engineering skills to maintain platform performance, optimize processes, and enhance customer experience through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

Design and refine operational processes and runbooks that keep product development and delivery running smoothly

Spot inefficiencies, build scalable workflows, and ensure our systems can grow as the business grows

By creating repeatable, well-structured processes, you’ll enable teams to reduce friction and deliver consistent value to customers

Own and maintain the core tools and integrations our product and engineering teams rely on

This includes monitoring, alerting, and incident management pipelines

Beyond maintenance, look ahead to identify new tools and automations — using Python, SQL and GCP — that strengthen platform reliability and accelerate delivery of our LLM-powered features

Monitor platform health, data workflows, and customer-facing performance

Using GCP tools, SQL and Python, detect anomalies, debug issues, and resolve them quickly to prevent customer impact

Your goal: ensure uptime, speed, and reliability for our AI-native platform at scale

Act as a bridge across product, engineering, and customer operations

Align priorities and work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to ensure what gets built is technically sound, operationally sustainable, and optimized for AI-driven customer outcomes

Create visibility into platform and process performance by building dashboards, reports, and documentation

Enable teams and leadership to make data-driven decisions

Champion a culture of continuous improvement by using insights to guide the next round of optimizations

Required

Strong proficiency in Python for software development, automation, and debugging

Strong proficiency in SQL for BigQuery and PostgreSQL

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Run, and Cloud Monitoring

Familiarity with data engineering workflows, SaaS delivery pipelines, and AI/LLM-powered applications (CI/CD, release management, monitoring, alerting)

Ability to design dashboards, reports, and operational metrics (SQL, BI tools)

5+ years in data engineering and product operations roles

Track record of improving reliability, customer experience, and delivery efficiency through process and automation

Background working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business teams

Engineer's eye for systems with a customer-first approach

Pragmatic process orientation — able to balance structure with agility

Collaborative communicator who thrives at the intersection of technical and business priorities
