Vice President – OE Member Content & Programming
MEMA, the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association, represents over 900 companies in the automotive supply sector. The Vice President, OE Member Content & Programming will develop programs and events to address challenges in the automotive supply base, collaborating with various teams to support members in navigating industry issues such as emerging technologies and government regulations.

Responsibilities
Partner with OE Leadership to develop a three- to five-year strategic roadmap to increase member interest, participation, and new member growth
Be responsible and accountable for all MEMA OE Suppliers Group programs including events, webinars, annual conferences, ensuring a consistent member experience. Serve as a lead on OE councils, as needed
Maintain oversight of the content team and event teams regarding details such as pricing, event schedules and topics, and event cadence. Coordinate all activities with the membership, communications, and government affairs teams to maximize input and gather resources to support the execution of programs
Oversee the MEMA OE Content annual budget process including creation of budgets for events in collaboration with Events Leadership
Understand key issues and challenges for the supplier landscape and work with the SVP Memberships and VP of OE Commercial Vehicle Membership to ensure that the annual event and council programs address key member issues by ensuring the strategic direction of events and councils
Work with the MEMA OE SVP of Membership to deliver consistent member experience at all MEMA OE Events and Councils
Along with the MEMA OE President, understand and develop the MEMA OE supplier and association competitive landscape to drive strategies of potential partnerships
Alongside the SVP of Membership and VP of OE Commercial Vehicle Membership, develop a value proposition that addresses various sub-segments such as CV, Tier I vs. Tier II and III, EV supply chain, software, etc. Additionally, create programming strategies to understand and address the needs of members in locations outside of southeast Michigan
Manage the Director of Sponsorships and Affiliate Content to ensure that affiliates and other groups' ability to provide content is disseminated to all parties
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, including at least 7 years of experience in management and leadership roles
Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or related fields such as engineering
Deep understanding of the vehicle and transportation industries, with automotive supplier experience required, ideally at the Tier I level
Demonstrated track record of successfully leading a function, developing high-performing teams, and cultivating a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence
Proven ability to act as both strategist and operator by setting clear objectives, metrics, and benchmarks; aligning vision with execution; and holding teams accountable for results
Ability to build and sustain relationships across diverse stakeholders, including government (federal, state, and local) and industry leaders, and member organizations while advancing common goals
Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with significant experience engaging diverse audiences across public, private, and media platforms, including large-scale events
Preferred
Experience in marketing, strategy, or product management role for a Tier I supplier
Experience dealing with global competitive issues facing the industry, such as emerging technologies, electrification, ADAS, government regulation, supply constraints, and tariffs
