The Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller will direct multiple accounting functions, establish internal controls, and manage general accounting operations while collaborating with financial partners to ensure effective financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

Direct multiple accounting functions, including payroll and accounts payable

Establish effective internal controls for all assigned functions

Supervise general accounting staff and manage general accounting operations including general ledger closing procedures, financial statement preparation and reporting, and maintenance of balance sheet accounts

Assist in the preparation and development of the corporation’s annual budget, including capital, staffing and non-staffing, and revenue projections

Partner with the Treasury department to develop accurate cash needs projections and cash processing and reporting mechanisms

Develop strong relationships with financial business partners and analysts to ensure accurate interpretation of data and financial results

Communicate effectively with other areas in the organization to resolve issues and assist with financial analysis and interpretation

Work independently to resolve complex issues, requiring sound judgment and ensuring all accounting frameworks are established

Required

Relevant experience as a finance leader in a complex environment is required

Bachelor's Degree

An excellent understanding of current generally accepted accounting principles

Leadership skills including employee leadership and change management

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and systems/tools used for financial management

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across the company

Exceptional attention to detail

Service-oriented strategic thinker with strong financial and business acumen coupled with excellent analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems independently

Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment

Project management skills

Preferred

Relevant experience in a hospital or health system is strongly preferred

CPA certification is a plus but not required
