Chief Financial Officer/Business Manager- Incarnate Word High School

Archdiocese of San Antonio Careers is seeking a Chief Financial Officer/Business Manager for Incarnate Word High School. This role is essential for ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the school, overseeing financial operations, facilities management, and human resources while supporting the school's mission and Catholic values.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the school’s financial sustainability
Prepare and manage the annual budget, financial forecasts, and financial reporting
Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial audits
Work with the school's leadership to prioritize resource allocation and maintain fiscal accountability
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies
Provide financial analysis and support for long-term strategic planning
Monitor and manage cash flow, investments, and financial reserves
Collaborate with the Board of Directors on financial issues and strategies
Oversee the maintenance and operation of the school’s facilities, including safety, security, and environmental compliance
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan for all physical plant assets
Manage construction, renovation, and improvement projects as needed, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines
Ensure optimal utilization of school facilities for school programs and events
Maintain a strong relationship with our third-party administrator for human resources management (ADP)
Ensure the school complies with all relevant workplace policies and procedures
Supervise business office staff and facilities management personnel
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging professional development for team members
Act as a liaison between faculty and staff and ADP regarding workforce issues, including, but not limited to, payroll, employee benefits, leave, and employment concerns
Act as a liaison between faculty, staff, and external vendors regarding financial and facility matters
Support and promote the Catholic identity and mission of the school through all financial and operational decisions
Engage with parents, staff, and the community to enhance school culture and involvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices
Strong knowledge of human resources management
Proven experience in facilities management and project oversight
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
Commitment to the Catholic mission of the school and understanding of Catholic education

Preferred

MBA or CPA preferred
