Wiseway Supply is a progressive and expanding electrical wholesaler seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for their Electrical Division. The role involves developing and managing key accounts, generating new business, and building relationships with contractors and electrical professionals to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities
Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective customers, including contractors, electricians, builders, and businesses within the electrical industry
Champion and sell our electrical products, services, and solutions to meet diverse customer needs
Craft and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our market share
Build customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and fostering repeat business
Collaborate with key manufacturers to enhance customer connections with Wiseway Supply through joint sales initiatives
Deliver impeccable customer service, including timely quotation follow-up and diligent follow-through on customer requests
Conduct regular check-ins with clients to provide product updates, resolve issues, and offer effective solutions
Partner seamlessly with our Lexington Branch team to optimize customer service, including order and pricing accuracy
Ensure customers actively support all Wiseway Supply initiatives, such as customer events and product promotions
Enhance Wiseway Supply's profile by actively participating in local industry and trade association functions
Stay ahead of the curve on electrical industry trends, product innovations, and competitor offerings
Continuously improve your product and technical knowledge
Provide expert product knowledge and technical guidance to our valued customers
Maintain proficiency in operational procedures and computer systems
Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs, recommend tailored solutions, and close sales
Travel extensively within your assigned territory to meet with clients and prospects
Work in unison with the branch team and General Manager to ensure seamless customer service and order fulfillment
Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and sales events
Meet regularly with your General Manager & Branch Lead to review accounts and refine performance plans
Communicate proactively with the Credit Department to ensure accurate account information, including contacts and any relevant credit insights
Continuously monitor market, competitive, and economic conditions that may influence sales of Company products
Conduct quarterly customer business reviews using PHOCAS software to identify sales/gross profit dollar growth opportunities and uncover new possibilities within accounts
Qualification
Required
3 or more years of industry-related sales experience
Proven success in electrical outside sales in the greater Lexington Kentucky market
Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks with precision
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated territory
Proficiency in leveraging data to drive decisions and enhance sales performance
Expertise in building and nurturing high-value client and partner relationships
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both internally and externally
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, and written communication clearly
Ability to hear and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through written communication
Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, office equipment, and tools
Ability to manage paperwork and perform data entry efficiently
Ability to stand, walk, and move around construction sites, warehouses, or client locations for extended periods
Ability to lift/carry electrical products/samples/promotional materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or scaffolding as needed during site visits
Frequent bending, crouching, or kneeling to inspect or demonstrate electrical products
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings or weekends, during peak seasons or when meeting deadlines
