Responsibilities

Plans, directs, and supervises all administrative functions of the Laboratory in regard to services, programs, and evaluations of such programs

Confers with Administration, Medical Director, and Medical Staff to ascertain Harris Health System needs related to Laboratory Services while ensuring activities are in accordance with CAP and JCAHO standards and Harris Health System Administrative policies

Required

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry

Certified Medical Technologist (American Society of Clinical Pathologists, NCA, AMT, AAB)

Seven years' experience in Core Laboratory

Five years of previous(recent) laboratory management experience

PC equipment, Printer, Terminals, Analyzers

Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)

Writing /Composing (Correspondence/Reports)

Analytical, CRT, P.C., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access

Flexible work schedule

Travel between Harris Health System facilities

Preferred

Master's degree in management, Business or Healthcare Administration related program

Advance Training/Specialty: Microsoft Office; PeopleSoft (a plus)
