Responsibilities

Run routine reports to review system operation
Participate in final inspection and testing
Support customer acceptance
Assist with customer training on system operations
Complete and submit routine written reports
Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system installation
May support others in the scheduling of trade contractors to coordinate start-up services as needed

Required

5+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated Security Systems, which could include access control, IP video cameras, intrusion, and surveillance
Understanding of network components, workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission, factors that impact video rates and quality, as well as basic switch, router, and firewall principles
Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
Must be willing and available to participate in an on-call rotation with other Specialists
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program

Preferred

High school diploma
8+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
Massachusetts Class D Electrical License
Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
