Responsibilities
Source, screen, and present candidates with active security clearances (Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, etc.) for federal IT and Engineering programs
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of technical professionals across Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear etc.) and IT areas such as program managers, project managers, software development, cybersecurity, cloud, data analytics, and infrastructure
Partner with hiring managers and program leads to understand technical requirements, key deliverables, and compliance standards for federal IT and Engineering projects
Manage the full recruitment cycle: requisition intake, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding support
Ensure compliance with OFCCP, EEOC, and other federal hiring regulations
Leverage applicant tracking systems, job boards, professional networks, and industry events to identify and engage top talent
Track and report recruitment metrics to demonstrate progress against hiring goals
Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage end-to-end recruiting for technical roles in Engineering and IT (Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Cybersecurity Analysts, Data Scientists, Nuclear/Mechanical Engineers, IT Project Managers, etc.)
Candidate Sourcing: Proactively source and engage top technical talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networks, referrals, and industry events, with a focus on candidates eligible for DOE or DOD clearances
Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with program directors, hiring managers, and HR business partners to understand technical requirements, clearance needs, and workforce planning
Screening & Assessment: Conduct technical and behavioral interviews to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, cultural fit, and eligibility for cleared environments
Employer Branding: Represent the organization at industry-specific career fairs, conferences, and university recruiting events with a focus on engineering and IT pipelines
Market Intelligence: Stay current on labor market trends, salary benchmarking, and DOE/national laboratory talent landscape to advise leadership on hiring strategies
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years focused on the federal IT space
Demonstrated success placing candidates with active security clearances
Familiarity with federal contracting, program deliverables, and IT project environments
Strong knowledge of technical skill sets relevant to federal programs (cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, etc.)
Experience with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ClearanceJobs)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both candidates and stakeholders
Preferred
Experience supporting large federal integrators or agencies (DoD, DHS, DOJ, VA, etc.)
Understanding of proposal staffing requirements in the federal contracting space
