Responsibilities

Proficiently performs continuous observation and analysis of ECG patterns for patients on telemetry

Notifies the appropriate nursing staff and physicians within a designated hospital unit of changes from baseline, abnormal heart rhythm patterns, and abnormal ECG interval measurements

Takes a leadership role in rhythm interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, and continuous education of assigned CMT I

Demonstrates and role models personal and professional effectiveness

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent or completion of Cardiac Monitor Tech training course from an accredited school required

Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required upon hire

Two (2) years centralized cardiac monitoring experience in a hospital required

Completes CBT modules one, two and three (1, 2 & 3) within the six (6) week orientation period
