Building Automation Systems Project Management Internship
Siemens is a global leader in technology and sustainable progress, seeking a Building Automation Systems Project Management Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project management, working alongside Project Managers to learn about managing construction projects and understanding the operations of smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish a project delivery plan
Develop and maintain a project schedule, as well as coordinate needs with the project team, identifying time-sensitive installation needs
Manage the procurement of supplies and materials to complete projects
Participate in project cost reviews
Track labor resources and project progress
Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities
Complete project-specific close-out documentation
Rotate through other departments within the branch office to learn about how our branch organization operates as a whole
Qualification
Required
Must be current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university
Pursing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment
Rising Junior or Senior, graduating between December 2026 – May 2028
Ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August)
There is no relocation or housing stipend for this program
This program does not support students on a Visa such as F1, J1, M1 and H1B as well as OPT/CPT
Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
Skilled in using Windows laptops and adept at learning new software for programming and troubleshooting automation equipment
Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
Demonstrated leadership potential
Strong analytical, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
