The Director will be responsible for program organization, optimization of patient care, and further development of clinical trials, while also being involved in teaching activities.

Responsibilities
Oversee New York City’s largest and most comprehensive Sickle Cell Program
See approximately 15 patients per day in conjunction with a fully trained and professional support staff
Have oversight at all levels and be responsible for program organization, optimization of patient care and further development of an already well-established clinical trials program
Be an integral part of the Adult Hematology Division and actively involved in teaching activities of medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualification
Required
MD or equivalent degree
Board certification in Hematology
Experience in managing a comprehensive sickle cell program
Strong clinical and administrative skills
Experience in clinical research and clinical trials
Ability to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
Dynamic personality with a commitment to advancing care for underserved populations
