Strategic Sales Manager
Quovis, Inc. is seeking a talented and seasoned Strategic Sales Manager to ignite customer relationships and elevate their market presence. The role involves leading a high-performing regional sales team, developing actionable sales strategies, and overseeing all sales-related activities to achieve aggressive goals.
Responsibilities
Developing and executing sales strategies
Leading a regional sales team
Overseeing the overall sales objectives, goals, and management of all sales-related activities
Regularly visiting customers to gather market intelligence, update forecasts, predict upcoming requirements, monitor solicitations for bids, and negotiate pricing and contracts
Successfully deliver aggressive sales goals originating from strategic initiatives and building efficient 'best-in-class' selling businesses
Use VOC data to identify improvement opportunities, deliver consistent customer satisfaction, and build brand loyalty
Manage product across multiple sales channels (direct and distribution)
Define and build an appropriate-sized sales team while simultaneously developing the performance metrics, reporting tools, and technical training needed to ensure success
Analyze and report on sales performance to plan and standards, identify needs, and implement change as needed to maximize results
Collaborate with marketing to build a comprehensive Sales & Marketing plan
Ensure business-wide awareness of competitive landscape, market development opportunities, and potential technological advantages that clearly tie to long-term strategies and values
Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements
Focus resources proactively to serve current needs and seeding the future market opportunities
Scan the environment constantly for trends and opportunities
Link internal strategies to external trends and developments
Leverage important relationships into an enduring competitive advantage
Leverage relationships both inside and outside the company to foster business success
Translate business goals into well-defined performance plans
Align individual performance goals and measures systematically to drive Sales Team performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing, or related degree
Ten plus years' combined sales, marketing and/or technical experience
Five plus years' sales management experience
Experience in building and leading sales team
Capable of managing to completion a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently
Ability to be a self-starter and requiring little or no supervision
Ability to work with all levels of a customer's organization and internal management
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings
Solid understanding of margin analysis, cost drivers, and operational capabilities
Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Products
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (50% plus)
Preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related advanced degree
Experience selling through multiple channels
Experience with the strategic planning process
Strong project management skills
Strong collaboration skills across multi-functional teams
Career motivated with both technical and leadership ability and the willingness to progressively assume broader responsibilities at a higher level in the business in the future
