Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize mechanical enclosures for aerospace avionics / electronics
Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure mechanical designs meet performance and safety requirements
Develop and implement design standards and best practices
Participate in design reviews
Work on Engineering Change Notices (updating designs and drawings per redlined documentation)
Utilize Creo Parametric Mechanical Computer Aided Design Tool to execute Mechanical Designs
Utilize NX Mechanical Analysis Tools to execute advanced thermal and structural analyses of Mechanical Designs
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
US Person Required
Experience with mechanical design and analysis
Familiarity with CAD tools, specifically Creo Parametric
Ability to conduct analysis and simulations for mechanical designs
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with NX Mechanical Analysis Tools
Knowledge of aerospace avionics/electronics design
Experience with Engineering Change Notices
