Casework Associate I - Temporary

The NC Office of State Human Resources is responsible for providing effective human resource management solutions. They are seeking a Casework Associate I to assist with the implementation and service delivery of pre-employment transition services for students with visual impairments, blindness, or deaf blindness.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Provide service delivery, outreach, marketing, and documentation of services rendered for VIB-PETS clients throughout the various stages of the vocational rehabilitation process
Focus efforts on areas of the state that do not presently offer an MOU with local school systems

Required

Bachelor's degree in a discipline relative to the program served from an appropriately accredited institution
Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in an area related to the program that provides experience in techniques of casework or counseling
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with youth ages 14-21 years of age, school staff, and providers
Experience in conducting outreach activities, networking, and building relationships with organizations
Experience working with individuals with disabilities
Ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) efficiently in composing letters, presentations, and reports
Excellent communication skills for interacting with eligible individuals, employers, vendors, agency staff, and others as required

Benefits

Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
