Responsibilities

The postdoctoral associate is expected to engage in research at the interface of mathematics and statistics with applications to the life sciences, broadly defined

Based on background, strengths and interests, the postdoc will be assigned a Statistics or Mathematics research mentor from the faculty associated with the RTG: either Brian Reich or Erin Schliep from Statistics or Mette Olufsen or Kevin Flores from Mathematics

The postdoc will also play a leading role in co-mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, assist in organizing seminars and activities related to RTG activities and teach one course per semester in the Department of Statistics or Mathematics
