Responsibilities
Lead and manage the accounting organization, including general ledger, technical accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation
Oversee shared services operations, ensuring efficient processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related back-office functions
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes
Drive continuous improvement and process optimization within accounting and shared services, leveraging technology and best practices
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Partner closely with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to support business decisions and strategic initiatives
Manage external audit processes and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders
Develop, mentor, and inspire high-performing accounting and shared services teams, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth
Support M&A activities, including the integration of acquired entities into accounting and shared services structures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including oversight of shared services or large teams
Deep knowledge of US GAAP and strong technical accounting expertise
Demonstrated success driving process improvement and operational excellence in accounting and shared services
Proven ability to lead and develop large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with executive and operational leadership
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services industries preferred
Strong systems orientation; experience with ERP systems and finance technology transformation is a plus
