Responsibilities
Fire protection system design including wet systems, dry systems, clean agent systems, and other relevant industry system designs
Engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selection, system layout and coordination
Reading and understanding construction documents, floor plans, specifications and equipment details
Drawing production and Building Information Modeling (BIM) for plumbing systems
Applying knowledge of building codes and industry standards
Writing and editing specifications, reports, narratives and surveys
Coordination with external clients
Coordination with internal disciplines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with fire protection emphasis, or equivalent industry experience
3 to 5 years of experience in fire protection system engineering and design
Ability to operate AutoCAD and Revit, TM BIM software
Detailed knowledge of building codes and industry standards
Efficient in MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines
A confident and positive attitude with colleagues and clients
Preferred
NICET, CFPS certifications, or equivalent recommended
