Responsibilities
Civil/infrastructure design and site layout
Site investigation and characterization using geotechnical and environmental field and laboratory data
Geotechnical design and analyses (e.g. slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, earth retaining structures, seepage, etc.)
Hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling
Erosion and sediment control design and NPDES compliance
Construction oversight and engineering support; and
Preparation of technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and analyses for: civil design; site development and grading; water resources engineering/stormwater management; erosion and sediment controls; and landfill engineering
Fieldwork and overnight travel will also be necessary, as needed
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
Preferred
Advanced degree in water resources or geotechnical engineering
Prior internship experience and/or experience with a civil contractor or consulting firm
Experience in relevant engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Slide, Settle3D HydroCAD, SWMM, ArcGIS, TR-55 etc.)
Experience performing civil design and site grading
Experience performing hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and designing stormwater infrastructure
