CPG COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER

They are seeking a CPG Commercial Finance Manager to provide financial guidance and decision-making support to P&L owners, collaborating with various departments to drive profitable growth and enhance resource utilization.

Responsibilities
Strong collaboration in partnership with P&L owners by actively participating in the development and implementation of business solutions
Foster cross-functional collaboration with all departments to identify and leverage opportunities for efficiency and growth
Provide comprehensive support offering guidance, assisting the stakeholders in understanding and managing variances in costs and expenses
Provide financial insights developing comprehensive analyses for revenue and profit variances related to volume, price, and assortment (mix)
Provide operational insights developing comprehensive analyses for operational efficiencies, raw materials usage, and fixed and variable expenses
Provide insights and analyses on customers, categories, channels, and brands to maximize margins and drive revenue growth
Support forecasting accuracy analyzing and support ongoing adjustments made to sales and spend forecasts. This will help ensure that forecasts are accurate and aligned with business objectives
Ensure effective financial management, taking responsibility for the financial business management of the category through thorough P&L analysis and key issue identification
Accountable for budgeting and ensuring proper reserve control and adherence to the budget
Identify business opportunities monitoring spend patterns in comparison to historical norms, forecasted plans, and the competitive landscape. Identify and recommend business opportunities based on these insights, enabling proactive decision-making
Act as a people leader, even though you have no direct reports, strive to be a leader by setting an example, fostering collaboration, and supporting the development of others. Share your knowledge and expertise to contribute to the overall success of the team

Qualification
Required
3+ years of CPG related business experience or equivalent experience
CPG experience in food manufacturing companies
Strong Microsoft Office skills
CPG business acumen preferable in food manufacturing
Communication skills with internal and external personnel
Effective and influential team contributor
Constructive criticism; both delivering and receiving
High caliber writing style: logical, concise, and grammatically correct
Financial & operational analytical skills
Keen observation to details
Results and action oriented
Problem solving skills
