Responsibilities
Performs echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs
Recognizes, calculates, interprets, and analyzes the hemodynamic data served from echocardiography studies
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED, required
Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or obtained within 12 months of hire
Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age
Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)' requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
Considerable verbal ability to effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff
Preferred
2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred
Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred
Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred
Current BLS preferred
