Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 15 software engineers, fostering a culture of software craftsmanship and cultivating future technical leaders and subject matter experts
Lead and actively participate in cross-team business sessions, providing critical technical leadership and strategic guidance to align identity product development with broader organizational goals
Collaborate closely with product managers to define and evolve the identity product roadmap, translating business requirements into technical vision and actionable development plans
Establish clear team goals and objectives that are directly aligned with overall EVDD priorities, ensuring focused effort and measurable impact
Spearhead application architecture design and technical solutioning, facilitating collaborative whiteboard sessions and architectural reviews
Oversee the development and deployment of scalable multi-cloud SpringBoot/Java API microservices, leveraging Azure Container Apps, Azure services, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Champion and enforce modern software engineering best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Strategically refactor and optimize existing API/microservices to enhance simplification, efficiency, and long-term maintainability
Lead the integration and expansion of identity provider (IDP) services to bolster authentication, authorization, and user experience capabilities
Define and architect comprehensive API load and performance strategies, collaborating closely with the dedicated load and performance team for execution and validation
Instill and ensure adherence to Clean Code principles throughout the software development lifecycle, promoting high-quality, readable, and maintainable code
Foster a culture of collaborative development, leveraging SonarQube for continuous code quality analysis and improvement
Leverage and optimize a robust DevOps tools, including Jenkins, SonarQube, Checkmarx, and GitHub, to streamline software deployment, quality assurance, and lifecycle management
Drive agile development practices within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, utilizing the agile methodology to optimize workflow, transparency, and continuous delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related engineering discipline
5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, ideally within complex, enterprise-level environments
3+ years of hands-on development experience demonstrating deep proficiency with Java and the Spring Boot framework
3+ years of technical leadership experience, having served as an 'Anchor' or Team Lead within Agile development teams, with a strong track record of mentoring and upskilling software engineers to elevate their software craftsmanship
3+ Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale, global APIs on leading cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud technology
1+ year experience in driving and implementing modern Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, eXtreme Programming) and engineering practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Refactoring, Clean Code principles, and collaborative programming (Pairing/Mobbing)
Preferred
Deep understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture, including optimizing for resiliency, scalability, and performance
Proficient in the full API lifecycle, including developing, versioning, documenting (e.g., Swagger), and publishing APIs using platforms like Apigee and APIM
Hands-on experience leveraging a comprehensive suite of DevOps tools for automation, quality assurance, and security, including Jenkins, SonarQube, CheckMarx, and GitHub
Understanding and practical experience with Identity Products (IDP) such as Azure AD B2C
